TRACEDAWN Parts Ways With Bassist, Announces Replacement

December 20, 2012

Bassist Pekko Heikkilä has left Finnish metallers TRACEDAWN to focus on his new musical project ATTEMPTED LIFE. He has since been replaced by Jonne Lindqvist.

Commented Lindqvist: "When I was approached about joining TRACEDAWN, it all felt pretty natural from the start. I've known the guys for years and played/worked with everyone on different projects since we were teens.

"I've already done a few shows with the band and things are looking great. Excited to see what direction we'll be heading in the future!"

TRACEDAWN's latest album, "Lizard Dusk", came out in February via Redhouse. The CD was produced and co-recorded by Tuomas Yli-Jaskari, Perttu Kurttila and Vili Itäpelto at Seawolf and Redhouse Studios, mixed by Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman in Sweden and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox.

"Lizard Dusk" marked TRACEDAWN's first recorded output since the departure of singer Antti Lappalainen (vocal duties are presently shared between Niko Kalliojärvi [LITHURIA, ex-AMORAL] and guitarist Tuomas Yli-Jaskari).

The "Breed Insane" video can be seen below.
